[SPOILERS PRESENT IN THE COMMENT THREAD]
Alright, one more public journal for the week. This one sparks a lot of interest in Dean's Elysian Tail universe.
I...started playing Dust..again..o-o
FIVE BLADES OF ELYSIUM. FIVE.
Each created to guard their sword bearer. Arah was either created or chosen to help dust.
If Arah was created to specifically GUIDE DUST, then what will that make if the other four blades? What four warriors where they created to guide? Interesting...
If Arah was created to guide a pending warrior (Any warrior during a time of need), then why was HE chosen to guide DUST? Interesting...
And why was Fidget's clan given custody over Arah? And why was Fidget out of every other nimbat chosen to watch over him? Was she chosen to help balance Dust's emotions in their journey that lies ahead? If thats the case then that would mean Arah was intended to guide Dust specifically.
Now adding this all together brings up a lot more questions. How will the movie tie in with the Dust story? Does it take place before or after the Dust events?
If it takes place BEFORE, my guess is that the story has a chance of explaining how the Elysium blades ended up where they are, and that includes Arah. If you watch the bit of footage there is of it on youtube (m.youtube.com/watch?v=SijyDQ5T…), you can make out the use of an elysium blade. If that's the case then we will have a high chance of seeing Arah in the movie. The conclusion of this movie might have him sent to the nimbat village. Do you know what that means? NIMBATS. MORE NIMBATS. ALONG WITH FIDGET AS WELL!!! They could quite possibly be seen in the movie! Lol I'm voting on this one.
What leads me to believe that it will take place in the past is the fact that during the footage you can clearly see imperials. Who's leading them? All signs would point to Gaius, who would be alive, meaning he had not yet encountered Dust.
Along with that, the imperials' goal as far as we know is to eradicate the Moonblood race, who obviously somehow need to survive through the film's events in order to appear in Dust's events in the future.
To add EVEN MORE INTERESTING STUFF, Elder Grey Eyes is HUNDREDS of years old, meaning he could most likely be the Moonblood leader during the film.
Yet we still don't know how long before Dust's events this story would take place. Arah says in dialogue to Elder Grey Eyes, "It's been a long time, master."
Obviously we have a lot of time passing between the events. Who knows what could have happened? Fidget might not have even been born yet, and the blades might have been redistributed.
Dust had not been created until the event with Ginger's family, and Ginger seems as though she could be in her 20's (in Earth years). Meaning that Dust must have been created no more than 10 years earlier at the most.
Anyways, I couldn't see the movie taking place in the future with Dust in mind. If he is "a harbinger of storms yet to come", then he would most likely show up in the movie, which couldn't happen considering Bonnie is the main character of the film.
So. What do you guy's think? You think I'm on to something here?
I'll be honest, there is a good chance Dust might not have anything whatsoever to do with the film, even considering the fact that the game was created long after the movie's production had began, and Dean probably had not even thought of Dust during the planning of the movie. Plus from what I understand, Dust started out as a project just for fun that he hadn't intended on finishing at all.
Who know's if he even went as in depth when he created the game as I'm making it seem! xD
But still, I found all of these things very interesting to think about and now I don't want to wait for the film any longer!
Do you guys have any input on this whole thing?
Also...IF YOU SEE THIS DEAN, TELL ME IF I'M HOT OR COLD!!!!
My fingers hurt too much from typing to not get something out of it! D:

Thank You For a Wonderful 5 Years, Dust Fans!
I'm leaving DeviantArt and wanted to let this community and maybe even Dean himself to know just how much it meant to me.
I am proud to say I was able to be a part of this community as it grew from the game's release into something much bigger than even the game itself! It was so cool to see the growth of this community over the years, and I've made so many fond memories through the art I've made, and the art you've all made.
Dust: an Elysian Tail will always hold a special place in my heart. It inspired me to do so many new things. It inspired me to find myself and discover my passions. If one man could make something so beautiful and so ca
Let's Get This Place Moving Again
From now on I will be checking submissions regularly! If you guys have any art or know of any art you want to see in this group, please, send them in! It's been a long while since I've taken a look at the community we dust fans have here on DA, and I'd really like to start catching this place up!
Group Founder Comments!
Greetings everyone! It's been a long while since this group was given a proper journal! So allow me to fix that...
First of all I'd like to start off by welcoming all of the new members and contributors that have become a part of the group since our last journal! It's a great honor to manage a group full of talented and dedicated fans/artists such as yourselves! I'm sure Dean Dodrill (our game's developer) is happy to see the amazing fan base that follows his work, and how far this group has come to bring his universe to the infinite limits of our imaginations.
For those of you who don't know me, I have been a Dust fan since it's debut on t
Hello There Dust Fans!
Hello there people! ^w^
It's been a while since the group's last public journal! (Not like we need to have one every week or anything)
I'm really happy to see how much this group has grown since I took it off the ground last year, and since the release of Dust on PC! Since those events, the group size has nearly tripled! Exclamation mark!! The amount of art that has been rolling in is what keeps this group alive, and it's one of the big factors that keeps the game itself alive as well. Thank you to all who have contributed to this wonderful gallery, and to those who follow and appreciate their pieces of art as well!
Speaking of art; one of t

I got a tough one for you. After the credits and everything, did anyone bother to tell Haley? I mean she was dropping hints that she liked Dust.
